You've probably heard it before but it bears repeating … the best way to know if a monitor is right for you is to view them in person. Data are a great tool for narrowing your choice, but they are no substitute for practical experience. Many of the large trader has a wide range of monitors and some are on display. Go down to every shop you can and see if the monitor you will find thinking of buying. You never know what you spec slightly less likely that avoidedextra inch screen may beat everything else hands down in the "real world" performance.

This HP1723 17 "LCD monitor came with the complaint, no power. On closer inspection, I could at times a soft sound from the two front speakers to hear. Since the speaker can not produce a sound, it means that the PSU is working fine should be and there may be some bad components on the secondary side that had caused the power supply voltage does not fall to just start from. The power LED does not light because the signal was coming from the microcontroller (MCU) IC.This means that when the MCU is not receiving the correct voltage from the power supply, it does not send output to the power LED.
