I had this for about a year. I love them. Me being the best "compact" speakers in this price range for both music and movies. But that said, will not sound as big as a speaker tower. With larger speakers are better. But these are a good compromise between size and sound.

1. 200 watts power rating spec PEAK. RMS is only 50, 75 of the center. I have Pioneer 1018 (110 RMS per channel) and Quint's hold up just fine.

In general, I was very happy with the Onkyo SKS-HT540 7.1 Surround Speaker System. I selected out of sheer laziness match the Onkyo receiver that I bought around the same time expected to be more suitable equipment Onkyo. I mainly use the unit in a home theater that doubles as a part-time family to watch TV.

There are a lot of reviews on this system, and give a lot of good information. I just want to suggest to control this system in a store, it is possible to ensure that high enough for your application / expectations. For the price I thought it would be much higher, so it is. Volume maxes long before so it should be, the speakers sound like they have much more to give. Disappointed ..
